Blue Harbor Resort & Wolf Pack Adventures are hosting "Fishing, Now & Then” Learning Expo on Father's Day weekend! Celebrate the beginning of the 2007 fishing season together and Father’s Day -- both events are near and dear to Dad’s heart.

What's it about?

We’ve arranged a unique and festive weekend for dad, mom, kids, and everyone in between, to spend some quality time on the shores of Lake Michigan. Familiarize yourself with the fishing heritage handed down from several generations to the recreation sport fishing has become today. Two gentlemen, Gordy Merz and John Laimon, both of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, are avid collectors of fishing and hunting memorabilia and have a non-profit service organization -- “Fishing, Now & Then Learning Center and Museum.” They will display a variety of boats, motors, fishing, hunting and trapping equipment from the past. Their goal, since developing this organization in 2002, is to encourage children’s interest in the sport of fishing.

A unique pairing!

The management of Blue Harbor and the Captains of “The Wolf Pack” share their desire to promote our outdoor heritage and keep it alive and well. Here on the shores of Lake Michigan and along the banks of the Sheboygan River lives a long history of our fresh water fishing heritage and our unique natural resources.

Many of the South Pier developers value the history of our past and share the dream to promote these same outdoor values to all future generations. To promote their enthusiasm toward that goal, these merchants are linking together as an adjunct to the hands-on events promoting our heritage. With their cooperation a number of other family adventures are being made available.

Come tour the displays, take a fishing or other outdoor adventure, or cruise Lake Michigan. All of that and more is available in the South Pier District. Learn our history, stroll with a bag of popcorn, stay at Blue Harbor and splash in the indoor water park. Don't forget to indulge your palate at one of the many restaurants.
