Sunrise Lodge is located on the west shores of Lac Vieux Desert with many cabins that include full kitchens, baths, fireplaces, relaxation areas and can sleep up to 12 in each.

Fished 21-23 with WolfPack guide services. First, let me tell
you I would highly recommend them if your looking to book an ice
fishing trip! 3 nights and 3 days fishing, meal included (they
cooked for us on the ice and at the cabin), everyting in the
cabin was provided (even towels), they drill all the holes, set
all the lines, each of us got a shanty to sit in, heaters. They
would move us around until we found the fish... It was
fantastic. I literally did not have to do anything but catch
fish, which we did. Friday we caught some nice perch (about 5-10
in the group jigging with waxies and chased tip-ups all day.
Probably iced about 25 or so, nothing real big but I caught a 23
incher with a jig pole, that was fun! Saturday was BRUTAL!! Out
in a blizzard most of the day but caught a few perch and had
about 8 flags. Only the dinky ones out today but it was NASTY!
Sunday I got to fish by myself and ended up chasing flags all
day. Stopped counting after 20 fish iced. Had as many as three
flags going at once. Didn't get my trophy but got three legal
size and a bunch more in the 22-25 range. All in all, it was an
EXCELLENT experience and I would hope to do it again sometime! |
